General-purpose cleaners strip the oils out and lead to cracking

PPF is a physical layer with real thickness that absorbs impacts and stone chips instead of the paint
A ceramic coating is a thin chemical layer that adds gloss repels dirt and resists staining
But it will not stop a flying stone
